-Personality: He can seem somewhat rude and unfriendly initially. He prefers to be alone. However, he can act nicer towards people that he knows well and is on good terms with. He has a rather strong sense of justice, even though it is not exactly noticeable considering his attitude.

-Appearance: Fairly tall and muscular. Medium-long white hair. The left eye is green, while the right is red with a faint glow. His usual attire includes black pants with a black shirt, and a large red jacket.

-Abilities: He is a skilled swordsman, and knows many techniques with various types of blades. He can employ dark magic and has magic potential, but these skills are quite limited. When he is enraged, he can use dark energy for a variety of purposes, but because he has not honed his magical abilities there is little that he can accomplish with such magic. So, he mostly relies on physical attacks.

-Weaknesses: He does not have any specific, glaring weaknesses. Despite his skills, though, he can still be caught off-guard. He also tends to have trouble dealing with magic attacks, especially Light magic.

-Backstory: Akai comes from the A Link to the Past era. He was a renowned swordsman. He worked for the kingdom of Hyrule as a mercenary. He sought challenges and defended the land, and created a decent reputation for himself.

When the priest Agahnim arrived to aid the kingdom, Akai found him suspicious after working with him for some time. It seemed as though people were following his commands unquestioningly, as though they were being manipulated somehow. Unable to control his curiosity, he spied on Agahnim, and witnessed him transport an unconscious maiden into the Dark World. Akai challenged Agahnim to battle after witnessing this scene. Akai put up a valiant effort, but ultimately was bested by the priest. Agahnim respected Akai’s power, and decided to control him. Agahnim found Akai more difficult to control than most other individuals, but his strength would be useful, so controlling him would be beneficial. Agahnim sent Akai to the Dark World, where his form changed, and he became a fox-like Pikku, and appeared to gain some control of dark magic.

Near the Pyramid of Power, the controlled Akai stood guard. Eventually, he came across a hero in green, and appeared to be wielding the sword of legend: the Master Sword. Akai, in his brainwashed state, was driven to attack the hero. The two fought, but it seemed that the green clothed hero had the advantage. Akai’s motivation throughout the fight started to wane, and it appeared that Agahnim/Ganon’s hold on him was weakening. He remembered his past, and his desire to protect the kingdom and the princess. With conflicting feelings, he fled the scene.

Eventually, the hero defeated Ganon and Akai was finally free of Ganon’s curse. He was returned to the Light World and returned to his normal Hylian form. From then on, he wandered the land as an adventurer. He felt shamed by his two major defeats, and his inability to resist Agahnim/Ganon’s hold and protect Hyrule. It is because of this that his attitude is so cold. He aloofly travels around, keeping to himself, but actively engages in battle with any who are a threat, especially those affiliated with Ganon.
